We Can Talk A Good Game, But Can We Win?

Subscribe to this feed

Are We Really Ready? We all talk a good game. Most of us say that we are prepared for whatever the devil throws our way. But are we really ready? [1 Peter 1:1-9]

As youth in today's society, where do we stand as Christians? Are we living the way God wants us to? Are the ways of the world making it so that we can not stand up for what we believe in? [Ezekiel 44:6-9] We have profaned amidst other things we have mixed our heathen ways and we made God second.

The bible tells us that as Christians our walk is harder, and our cry is stronger. But what about those who walk the walk and talk the talk? They are like toy soldiers.

Well why toy soldiers? Because we are dressed just like we should be on Sundays, we have the materials needed for war, and we stand on a battlefield. But that is only the outside appearance. What about the inside, the part that no one sees? Toy soldiers' think they are ready for battle but are not truly ready until the Lord has equipped them for battle. Toy soldiers believe they are headed in the right direction and make up there own compasses. Toy soldiers do what they think is best to them and for them [Psalms 31:14].

A Christian who does not pray and does not pray on the behalf of others is a toy soldier. They go to war with weapons they do not know how to use. Just like us, if a toy solider was to go war he would pose no threat to the enemy at all! If the Lord were to take us to battle right now, all we would do is just take up space! We have our weapon [the Bible] in hand and yet we do not use it unless we really need it. God has ordained us to fight the enemy and meet him face to face. God said he would fight beside us but we as Christians are suppose to be out there on the front line. If we go to war now unprepared we would be slaughtered.
