Subscribe to this feed

Let's Live a Christian LifestyleOnce saved, we don't need to crawl into a shell, quote scriptures and denounce all that family members, friends and co-workers do, that are controversial to our Christian beliefs.

The purpose of living a Christian lifestyle is our choice to make Jesus Christ the Lord of our lives. In doing so we must make dramatic changes in friendships, activities and even health matters. While formulating reasons for the way we live, God's purpose for our lives never changes when all else has failed, READ THE DIRECTIONS:

Remain Connected To God: John 15:4-8
Remain Faithful: 2 Timothy 3:12-17
Spread The Good News: Mark 16:15; 1 Timothy 6:12

What are the specific rules/guidelines that govern a Christian lifestyle? From one individual to another, any lifestyle list is difference. Drinking, movies, music, dancing, politics, fashion, education etc.…. to what degree do we shape our choices, to maintain our Christian lifestyle? We should not copy behavior and customs of the unsaved, but rather let God transform us into the new person that He wants us to be; read these Bible references:

Communicate continually with God: Matthew 11:25-26; Mark 6:46, 14:32
Acknowledge the significance of the Holy Spirit: John 14:16-17
Obey the will of His Heavenly Father: Luke 22:42; John 6:38-39
Resist temptation by steadfastness to the word of God: Luke 4:1-3
Reach out to those considered hopeless and sinners: Mark 2:15-16; Luke 19:5-9
Serve others humbling oneself before Our Heavenly Father: John 13:3-5, 12-15
Be preserved in faith and love: John 4:34, John 9:4; John 17:23

Christian Lifestyle: Inside Out

Let's examine what we as Christians project! We often present an outward appearance of Godliness, when in actuality we are poor Christian examples:

Matthew 23:27

To live as a Christian requires having the Character of Christ. The transformation must occur, as a result of the Holy Spirit's indwelling:

Galatians 5:24-25

When we practice a Christian Lifestyle, inward evidence becomes obvious. God's glory and power pours out upon all that we encounter. Our faith is apparent during turmoil and flows from the heart. Every breath carries a word of compassion, an affirmation to a confused and hurting world. It will be demonstrated on the inside and outside for those who live a true Christian Lifestyle.
