Have
you ever gone to a baseball game and wondered how things looked from ground
level? Well, here's your chance. Take a stroll through Oriole Park at Camden
Yards on a ballpark tour. The beautiful baseball-only facility in Baltimore,
became the official home of the Orioles on April 6, 1992.
Camden Yards invites the public to come see the ballpark from a new perspective and to enjoy the charm of the ballpark from the exclusive club level suites, the press level, the Scoreboard/JumboTron control room, and even the Oriole dugout. However, 2 p.m. tours will not visit to the dugout on game days. While on the tour, fans are also treated to a historical perspective of the Camden Yards area, including, The B&O Railroad, Baltimore's Famous Inner Harbor and the birthplace of baseball's most legendary hero, George Herman "Babe" Ruth.
Tickets can be purchased at the north end of the warehouse in advance or on the day of the tour. Tickets can also be purchased in advance on line at: http://baltimore.orioles.mlb.com/bal/ballpark/tours.jsp.
The prices are: Adults - $9.00, Children (14 and under) and Seniors (55 and over) - $7.00, and Children 3 & under - free. Call (410) 547-6234 to schedule a private group tour.
Each tour lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. During the regular season, tours will be available: Monday-Saturday: 11:00 a.m., 12: p.m., 1:00 p.m. and 2:p.m. (schedule varies for day games), Sunday: 12:30 p.m., 1:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. (when team is away only). Areas visited on the tour are accessible to all, and are subject to change due to ballpark events. Tours proceed rain or shine, but are subject to snow/ice conditions in the ballpark. No tours will be offered on days of Ravens home games.
The ballpark is located at 333 West Camden Street, Baltimore MD 21201.There are plenty of parking garages in the city near the ballpark for less than $10.00.
The ballpark is serviced by public transit and a rail station used by both the Baltimore Light Rail and MARC commuter rail is located in front of the B&O Warehouse.
