Reverend Anna Scribner was born on August 19, 1952 in Sumter South Carolina to Joshua and Everlene McFadden. Anna's mom, Everlene McFadden was an active and beloved member of Morning Star Baptist Church of Christ until her death.

After graduation from Edmonson High School, Anna received her BS from Coppin State University and her Master's from Johns Hopkins University. She is the proud mother of DeAnna Bailey and the now deceased Delano S Bailey from her first marriage.

Anna became the blushing bride to Deacon Charles Scribner on May 3, 2008 in a beautiful ceremony still remembered by many.

Reverend Scribner has been very active ever since she joined the "Star" in 1984. She had previously been baptized by Reverend Johnson of Mount Hebron. She is not only one of the "Star's" associate ministers but also, Morning Star Baptist Church of Christ Church School Director and Youth Advisor. She serves on the Missionary Society, the Board of Christian Education, the Women's Ministry, and choir. As if the whole congregation could not tell, Reverend Scribner's favorite hymn is" If Jesus Goes with Me, I'll Go Anywhere". Anna states, "This hymn ensures me that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me". Her favorite Scripture is Psalm 27 because; she says "this Psalm tells of the Lord's protection. His goodness and His greatness toward me is all I need to be faithful and wait on Him".

Fried chicken, Anna states enthusiastically, is her favorite food. Her favorite pastime is laughing, talking, and eating with family and friends. She also loves bowling. At one time, she was on a bowling league, but because of her busy schedule, she is no longer able to participate. Anna enjoys traveling to places she's never been and tries to go somewhere every year.

Reverend Scribner relaxes by sitting outside reading the Bible and other religious information. Her positive message to others is "God blesses us to be a blessing to someone else; May the work, service and life we live speak for us". We at the Morning Star Baptist Church of Christ can see evidence of Anna living her message all the time. She's always smiling, talking and being a cheerleader for Christ.
