Attitude Check - Do You Have a Heart Problem?Attitude Check - Do You Have a Heart Problem?

Do you ever get annoyed with complaining around the house? I do. I mean the stuff we grumble about is really big-time, major-league circumstances. We gripe about who gets to sit where at the dinner table. We grumble about chores-especially who cleans up after dinner. We get grumpy over socks that never match, toilets that are never flushed, toys that populate the floor, and tubs that are littered with assorted dolls, boats, bottles, and melting bars of soap. Kids gripe if they see another child getting over advantage or an "unfair" gain. I murmur when my car gets trashed out by a herd of French-fry-eating youngsters and grumble when it seems we're seldom on time when our family goes anywhere! Full Story

MSBCOC Spotlight
Hour of DecisionHour of Decision - For those who question their salvation, the best evidence is not the memory of having raised a hand or prayed a prayer, nor is it having been baptized or christened. The true test of the authentic work of God in one's life is growth in Christ-like character, increased love for God and other people, and the fruit of the Spirit (Gal. 5:22-25; James 2:18). A memorable conversion experience may serve as an important referent to God's saving work in one's life. But the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit in making a person more like Jesus is the clearest indicator that one has been made a new creation in Christ.

In Remembrance
In Rememberance Of: Darvine Benee Gunthrope (Jackson) | January 16, 1962 - November 30, 2012Darvine Benee Gunthrope (Jackson)
January 16, 1962 - November 30, 2012

Darvine was an unassuming quite worshipper who loved the Lord. Many folk who engaged in worship prefer to remain where they are, quietly worshipping the Lord even in a corporate setting. This was Darvine. She is the step-daughter to Trustee Marlene Jackson who serves the "Star" lovingly! Darvine was daughter of Albert Jackson and Angienette Brown. She was born on January 16, 1962 and made her transition on November 30, 2012 from the John Hopkins Hospital.

Bible Study
Faith Choices: The Key to OvercomingFaith Choices: The Key to Overcoming - Knowing how to make "faith choices" is saving my life. I trust Him in all of this. That's easy to say, but "walking that out" is what I need to do right now. It's critical we understand how to make these kinds of choices and learn why they are so important. Simply put, "faith choices" or "contrary choices" are the means by which we exercise God's authority in our lives. Making a "faith choice" is personally saying, "Not as I will, but as Thou wilt." (Matthew 26:39) In other words, we make the choice by faith, God, then, implements His will in our lives.

Health & Wellness
“Keep Moving”“Keep Moving” - You spend more than $10 on lunch somedays, so why not commit and sacrifice $10 for your health every month. Now lets look at equipment. Bikes range from $90 - $10,000.00. So we don't need the Mercedes Benz model bike. Just a little something that can withstand our weight. Walmart has great bike models for great prices. A little bit goes a long way. Commit to one bike lap per day and watch the difference.
