Rev. Angela Michele Nelson
Associate Minister

Angela Michele Nelson was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. She received her spiritual foundation, and was baptized at the Morning Star Baptist Church of Christ, under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Samuel Ray.

Rev. Nelson is a graduate of the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC). She graduated from UMBC in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Information Systems, with a minor in Writing. She has been employed with the Social Security Administration since 2003.

In November 2008, Rev. Nelson preached her initial sermon entitled "Don't Kill the Messenger", based on Jeremiah 26:11-15. In addition to serving as an Associate Minister at Morning Star, she serves as a Church School teacher for youth, and has served as a facilitator for Women's Ministry retreats.

Rev. Nelson attended the United Baptist College and Seminary. She is currently pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Theology at St. Mary's Seminary and University Ecumenical Institute of Theology.
