Women's Ministry

Mission

To unite the women of Morning Star Baptist Church of Christ (MSBCOC) in fellowship and service for our Lord and Savior, the Church, the Community and Ourselves. "Putting on the Whole Armor of God."

We pray for guidance in continuing to function as God would have us to in achieving our mission.

1 Corinthians 9:19-23(KJV)

"For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more. And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, and that I might gain them that are under the law; To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law. To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some. And this I do for the gospel's sake, that I might be partaker thereof with you."

Women's Ministry Events

Each year the Women's Ministry endeavors to sponsor and participate in a number of services and activities directed toward fulfilling our mission and exemplifying our God-given purpose here on earth. We have:

• Sponsored services and activities directed toward enhancing the spiritual, educational and fellowship components of the lives of MSBCOC women. Included are women's worship services, revivals, retreats, recreational activities and acts demonstrating support for individuals and groups within the church.
• Joined the women of churches in and around the Baltimore metropolitan area for worship services, fellowship and celebration of Red Dress Sunday.
• Participated in community outreach efforts such as neighborhood visits and local, national and international relief efforts.

Although we function year round, we are especially focused in October, our Women's Month, and there are special celebratory services and activities occurring during that time. The highlight of the month is our Women's Day, on the 3rd Sunday.

Membership Requirements

We invite you to join us and give your time and talents to the Women's Ministry. We meet on the 4th Saturday of each month at 11:00 a.m. Our only requirements are that you be:

• We ask that you be a professing Christian
• A member of Morning Star Baptist Church
